From Fort Worth, Texas Dr. Nicholas Ashley moved to San Francisco after completing his Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. During undergraduate studies, he founded a student pre-health organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for American Heart Association and Dell Children’s Hospital. Dr. Ashley was also involved with conducting neuroscience research studying effects of cellular housekeeping mechanisms in neurodegenerative traits, which was then published prior to completing university. His passion for science led him to Chiropractic school through his relationship with a family friend who mentored him over the possibilities of chiropractic care as an intervention for most musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Upon graduation, Dr. Nicholas Ashley initially moved to San Jose, CA where he completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer West Chiropractic College.

At Palmer West Chiropractic College, he played soccer for the school team and was an active member of the Palmer West Sports Council. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, he founded a student organization that assisted students relocating to the Bay Area to secure affordable housing. Dr. Ashley was mentored by Dr. Raymond Pulmano, which led to his clinical internship at SF Custom Chiropractic Castro office.

Dr. Ashley uses a diversified approach to restore motion, reduce pain, and promote a healthy lifestyle. He is an ART spine level 1 provider that utilizes soft tissue therapy in addition to spinal manipulation to provide effective treatment outcomes for both acute and wellness complaints. He is motivated to help each person achieve their personalized movement, health, and wellness goals.

In his spare time, Dr. Ashley plays in an adult soccer league with Out Loud Sports in San Francisco, CA. Lately, he has been trying out surfing and frequently hikes different trails around the bay. His weekends are always filled with food and walking around different neighborhoods, your food recommendations are always welcome!
